Oak Group Holdings acquires Ostles Scotland Ltd

Oak Group Holdings purchase

Oak Group Holdings (OGH) has acquired the tyre and exhaust centre, Ostles Scotland Ltd.

Established in 1987 and a long-standing customer of Oak Tyres and Davanti Tyres, Ostles  has grown a strong reputation as a leading retailer in Galashiels, and has also established a growing distribution presence across The Borders.

The business now sits under Oak Group Holdings, as part of OGH’s ambition to bolster its own distribution presence in the area.

The acquisition marks a step towards diversifying OGH’s route to market in The Borders, which is primarily aimed at improving the service offered to wholesale customers whilst also welcoming a wealth of knowledge as a local retailer.

Stuart Ostle, owner of Ostles Scotland Ltd said: “I’m tremendously proud of the long history of Ostles and our reputation, and I’m excited to take this forward under the ownership of OGH. The process of making the sale to OGH was well considered at every step and the management team was very dynamic and transparent in how they approached the acquisition.”

Larry Cross, managing director at Oak Group Holdings, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Stuart and the Ostles team to OGH and embrace the wealth of experience they will bring to our organisation. They have a great passion for the tyre industry and align with the independent, family-run, service-based values we hold at Oak.

“Davanti represents an important and growing part of Ostles’ business. Under OGH ownership we expect to further harness Oak’s distribution strength to ensure customers in the area get even more improvements to their service offering. We are delighted to now have a strong wholesale foundation in the Scottish borders to enhance this.”

Oak Group Holdings is the parent company of Oak Tyres - a leading UK tyre distributor - and global tyre brand Davanti Tyres.
